Basic settings for H.323 Protocol can be programmed with using H.323 link in Homepage Ethernet paragraph.

The H.323 link opens H.323 voip settings page.

Edit the RAS multicast port UDP, RAS unicast port UDP, Call signalling port TCP textboxes for the desired port numbers. However, be aware that the default values are the well known port numbers stated in protocol documents. Changing these number may cause some routing equipment fail to deliver messages properly. However, if desired, these can be modified to other ones.

The number stated in H.245 terminal type textbox determines if the system acts as a master or slave in control protocol for multimedia communication (H.245). In a communication with a remote VoIP user (entity), the one with the higher number acts as a master and the other as a slave. Leave this at the default value unless you really know what you are doing.

If the Telesis system is operating behind a NAT equipment with bindings but the NAT equipment fails to translate declared IP addresses in H.323 messages sent, then Declare external IP address.

Unfortunately, there are numerous H.323 devices in the market, which are sending signaling packets with incorrect checksums. When Ignore checksum in signalling checkbox is marked, Telesis system ignores the checksum in received signaling packets. If you notice incorrect checksums in received signaling packets, mark this checkbox. Otherwise, leave it unmarked.

When OK button is clicked on, the parameters are stored into volatile memories but they are not activated. In order to activate the modified parameters, these should to stored into nonvolatile memories and then the system should be restarted again. To do this, first operate Save command in Homepage System paragraph and then operate Reboot command in Homepage Control Program paragraph.
