XTools_Voice_Recording_Browser_Function

Used for mounting or loading folders (which store voice recording files) and then doing several other functions in these mounted folders. For fast indexing and search, voice records are stored in separate sub-directories based on month-and-day of the record.

It also enables some new sub-functions as shown below.

The Scan function is used for scanning and refreshing a selected list.

The Select function opens a window with numerous filtering criteria.

Applicable filters are as follows:

  • Date range : Voice records between the two dates are selected
  • Time range : Voice records between the two times are selected
  • Duration min/max : Voice records for calls lasting longer than min seconds and shorter than max seconds are selected
  • External charge pulse min/max : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • Internal charge pulse min/max : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • Used port (Uport) : The list includes voice records with a specific used port (or used line) edited into the box to the left.
  • Dialled digits : The list includes voice records with a specific dialled digits prefix edited into the box to the left.
  • Calling number The list includes voice records with a specific calling number prefix edited into the box to the left.
  • Charge pulse price/unit : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • Listed Users
  • All, time sorted : The list is sorted according to call time stamp in ascending order.
  • All, user sorted : The list is sorted according to users in ascending order.
  • Selected users : In Users function, some users may be set as selected. Selected users are with * in Sel row of Users. If desired, only records of selected users may be listed out.
  • Single user : The list includes a single user. The relevant user is selected from the pull-down selection box to the right.
  • Departments : The list includes voice records of users, who belong to the same department. Departments should have been previously defined in XTools Users function. The relevant department is selected from the pull-down selection box to the right.
  • Sections : The list includes voice records of users, who belong to the same section. Sections should have been previously defined in XTools Users function. The relevant section is selected from the pull-down selection box to the right.
  • Xymphony IP : The list includes only the voice records collected from the selected Xymphony IP address. The IP address 0.0.0.0 indicates no IP address check.
  • Incoming side : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • Outgoing side : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • Star count : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • Line format : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • Replace digits :
  • No: Dialed and Calling party number are shown as digits in the list.
  • Dialled digits: Instead of dialed digits, the Name, which is defined in Digits function, is displayed in the list.
  • Calling number: Instead of calling number digits, the Name, which is defined in Clip function, is displayed in the list.
  • Both: Instead of dialed and calling digits, their relevant Names, which are defined in Digits and Clip functions, are displayed in the list.
  • Call direction :
  • All: The list includes voice records of both incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Incoming: The list includes voice records of only incoming calls.
  • Outgoing: The list includes voice records of only outgoing calls.
  • Acked calls, free : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).
  • No details : Not applicable (valid for CMDR recorder browser function).

You may either apply a previously stored filter definition (i.e., template) or use a new one. You may also save new filter definitions as a template for future use.

At any time, saved template may be applied on a connected database.

It is also possible to delete a filter template with using Trash function.

The List function applies filtering on the connected database according to filtering definitions.

When the List function executed, the window displays the results of records filtered accordingly.

Since there may be many columns for each record, depending on your PC screen and XTools window size, it may be necessary to scroll right or left to view each column.

The file name of voice records consists of fields separated by `_` to describe the properties and dependencies of the relevant recording.

AAAAAAAA_YYMMDD_HHMMSS_AD_I_N_C_R_P.xxx

where;

AAAAAAAA: access code of the recorded user, if shorter than 8 characters, '_' appended.
YYMMDD HHMMSS: starting time of recording as year, month, day, hours, minutes, seconds.
A: denotes auto recording.
D: I call originated by AAAAAAAA, O call terminated AAAAAAAA.
I: access code of B party, may be multiple characters.
N: numbers dialed by the originating user, may be multiple characters.
C: caller id from originating user, may be multiple characters.
R: Call reference of recording, may be multiple characters. Xtools uses this reference to group recordings with CMDR records.
P: IP address in hex format of Xymphony that performed the recording.

  • 3843658 is the access code of the user, which initiated the recording
  • 100118 is the date of January 18, 2010, when this recording is started
  • 145801 is time of 14:58:01, when this recording is started
  • AI indicates the recording is `auto recording` and an `incoming call` is recorded
  • 001OPERATOR is the user 001, which has also an account name as OPERATOR, has been recorded
  • 001 is the digit sequence dialed to set up the call
  • 4837583 is the caller Id received from the originator
  • 4B4F46C2 is the Cref linking this file to the CMDR database
  • C0A80541 is the Xymphony IP address in hex (that is 192.168.5.65)

Double-click on a selected voice record plays the MP3 record.

Similarly executing the Play function plays the MP3 record.

XTools Chart function allows listed results to be displayed as charts for statistics.

The Back function may be used to go back to the main browser window.

If desired, Archive function may be executed to save (or archive) a selected MP3 record to a disk location.

Call trace function displays Call details of a selected voice record.
